She died because she was too afraid to book into an abortion clinic since most are surrounded by protesters. Illegal abortions WILL happen and they won't always be performed by doctors.

I should clear this up
I was reading through my past posts and I think this was unclear.
When I said I was against punishing women who had abortions, I meant the abortions that would have occurred before it was made illegal.
I prefer reform over punishment, but for women who kill their children through abortion afterwards would receive punishment. The same with abortion providers.
